Special Programs

The schedule of the São Paulo International Short Film Festival – Curta Kinoforum always includes a series of Special Programs specially produced by our team. This year, we present Focus: Matters of heaven and earth, with three programs dedicated to the indigenous filmmakers Priscila Tapajowara, Takumã Kuikuro and Olinda Tupinambá. Two special selections celebrate classic short films, in partnership with Museu da Imagem e do Som; eight programs bring together winners of the Estímulo Award, which marked São Paulo's cinematography; and one program looks back on films from the Cinemateca Brasileira collection. Argentine director and animator Juan Pablo Zaramella has an unprecedented retrospective and will be in Brazil for a chat with the public (see Parallel Activities). Two programs pay tribute to the filmmaker Djalma Limongi Batista, and another one, to the actress Gilda Nomacce. Partnerships with the Ibero-American branch of the International Association of Audiovisual Schools (CIBA/Cilect) and with Unifrance bring film programs produced in Latin American schools and French highlights, respectively. Two programs reunite the favorites of Abraccine film critics. And two programs present traditional programming clippings. That is the case of Nocturnu, with fantastic and horror films, and Fow a few more minutes, dedicated to films that go beyond the duration of the short film.

Enjoy!
