International Program

After two years in an online format and with a first return to cinemas last year, with a leaner festival and smaller programs, the International Program is finally back to its original size: 10 short but intense programs of films from 34 countries. With its diversity of languages and genres, we present the latest trends in the format.

The 56 works selected from 2,417 entries from around the world were carefully chosen by a dedicated team of film professionals, including filmmakers, journalists, producers and students, resulting in a bouquet of films unique in their forms, origins and narratives. With a quarter of the shorts made by first-time directors, the program values the new generation and brings a fresh touch to the programming. The selection includes films already shown at prestigious festivals, as well as unseen gems.

We invite you to experience the pleasure of watching little-known cinematographies on the big screen, with the chance of perhaps meeting some of the directors who have already confirmed their presence in São Paulo.
